Not a Jot or a Tittle will pass from the Law til...

Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
In order to understand This passage in context we must first consider where, when, and who He was speaking to. To a first century disciple, heaven and earth meant two concepts that fit together. Heaven meant sky and the inhabitants thereof and earth meant land and the inhabitants thereof, represented by the Holy of Holies(the place where God's presence dwelt) and the Holy Place(earth) where the Priests ministered. The brazen laver was called the sea.
What we call the Last supper was Passover. Christ was the Word made flesh. Not unless you eat His flesh(Word) and drink His blood(Spirit) you couldn't enter the Kingdom. Christ instituted a new covenant, which was prophesied in the Law and Prophets, in His own blood. Christ instituted the covenant of grace by His death, burial and resurrection(Passover) and the Holy Spirit was poured out fifty days later(Pentecost).
Even though the new covenant was established in 30A.D., Jesus told His disciples in the Olivet Discourse that this generation(the generation He was speaking to) will not pass away until all these things be fulfilled(70A.D).
The old covenant, old priesthood, old Jerusalem, old temple and natural nation(born after the flesh), was replaced by a new covenant, Royal Priesthood, New Jerusalem, New Temple(Us), and a Spiritual nation(born of the Spirit).
What we think of as Heaven and Earth will never pass away. But what first century Jewish converts thought of when they heard these words(not spoken in English, by the way) did pass away in 70A.D.
Under the Law if you had an adulteress wife, you would stone her with stones and burn her with fire. God's adulteress wife, apostate Israel, worshiped other gods, then stoned the Prophets that were sent to her that she may repent and turn back to Him. They then demanded that their own Messiah be crucified, and persecuted his disciples. But before she was stoned and burned, the disciples saw the signs and went to Pella before judgement came on the Great Whore.
